Your transportation vehicle must either have a receiver to accept a hitch rack, OR a sturdy rear bumper and no rear window overhang, OR an SUV or van in which we can place our fold up bikes, OR a pickup truck. A sedan may work if you have a sturdy trunk lid and a sturdy rear bumper. If you are unsure of your vehicles ability to transport our bikes, please call.
Also, when booking, it is important to let us know what type of vehicle you have. If you have a rental vehicle, let us know what type of rental you have reserved. We can then let you know if your vehicle is suitable for our bikes and racks. This will avoid unpleasant surprises if your vehicle is not suitable.
If our bikes cannot be safely transported by your vehicle we will not load them and gladly refund your money. Please call if you have any questions about the appropriateness of your vehicle. The ebikes are heavy and do not load as a typical regular bicycle.
We are open every day from 8am to 8pm.
We rent our bikes through booqable online, click on “get started” or “see our bikes” near top of page to go to booqable.
We are a small family vacation rental business with a selection of electric bikes for rent along with a few regular bikes. Most of our bikes are step through design for every type of rider including those with hip and mobility restrictions. The bikes are easy to mount and simple to operate. Most of our regular bikes are also step through design.
If you plan on transporting your bikes with a rack, please reserve that along with your bike. Keep in mind that not all vehicles, especially rental sedans, may not be suitable for any type of rack.
You may text Kathy a picture of your vehicle if you wish for a recommendation of rack or bike to use for your specific vehicle. If you choose to send a picture via text, please include a shot of the rear bumper, and rear tailgate.
Electric Step Through Bikes are rented at $90/day
Regular Step Through Bike rented at $50/day.
Some of our ebikes carry a small passenger, please inquire.
Minimum age to operate our ebikes is 16.
Trunk mount carriers at $50/day which hold 2 ebikes as available. You will need to have a sturdy rear bumper to set the carrier on.
One trailer that holds 4-5 ebikes $90/day. You will need a 2 in receiver.
Hitch carriers for rent depending on availability.
Please be advised that the bikes and bike racks can be heavy and you may be asked to assist in mounting and loading the ebikes. We will not stack the bikes or load them in any fashion that will damage them and we reserve the right to make that judgement and refuse to rent and refund your money. We ask that you help us load them so you can see how they are loaded and unloaded, and we ask that you take a photo if you are unsure of how to load them. We may take photos to ascertain their condition upon departure.
We do our best to upkeep and adjust the bike mechanisms, but it is also up to the renter to test ride the bikes and let the Pedal Company know if any adjustments need to be made for safety or comfort.
We give a quick intro to ebike function if needed, and we ask that you please let us know if something needs adjusting prior to, or after, your ride.
Our hours are flexible for pick up and drop off. We ask for bikes to be brought back before 8pm unless other arrangements are made. For late return of bikes after 8pm we will ask for a $100 late fee. Please agree to this beforehand for a hassle-free return.
Bikes can be taken overnight, depending on availability, if we can be assured they will be safe and secure. We will also not stack the bikes on top of each other and reserve the right to refuse rental if we are unable to load the bikes safely.
Some of our bikes are wired for two battery operation. Unplug a discharged battery, and plug in the second battery. Great for people who fear they don't have the energy to pedal all the way up the Sun Road! Please inquire as to availability. The extra battery is $30/day. Call for availability.
You ride at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to ride safely and obey Montana bicycle and road regulations. The Pedal Company will not be liable for injury while riding our bikes and you accept that risk when renting our bikes.
The Gateway to Glacier Bike Path abuts our property, it is an 8 mile ride along the paved path to get to Glacier Park. We cannot guarantee the safety of your vehicle if you park on our property but we are on private and fenced acreage.
Helmets and small tool kit provided. Helmets are required to operate our bicycles and test ride.
All services depend on availability. It is possible that a bike you have reserved gets damaged or is not returned. We reserve the right to substitute an available ebike or refund your money.
Before booking you may wish to look at the sizing charts for our specific Rad bikes that you can see below. <radpowerbikes.com> also has information about our bikes and sizing. Most of our bikes can be ridden comfortably by most people.
We carry the Rad Rover Step Through for rider height (5’2” -6’2”) (we think 6’5” works) , Rad Runner Plus 2 Seater (4’11”-6’2”), Rad Mini Step Through Fold Up (4’11-6’2”) (we think 5’2” to 6’ is more reasonable), Rad Expand 5 Step Through Fold Up (4’10”to 5’10”) , and Rad City Step Through (4’8” to 6’) but we think more like 5’3” to 6’.
